Accessibility

The Everyday Table aims to make recipe information clear and usable for people with different access needs. Accessibility is an ongoing part of maintaining the site.

Using the pages

The site is designed around readable text, headings, labeled form fields, keyboard controls, and visible focus states. Recipe pages include a print option, and saved recipes use your browser without requiring an account.

You can use your browser's zoom controls and device accessibility settings. Image descriptions identify the subject and explain when an image is AI-generated serving inspiration.

Known limits

Saved recipes and some interactive features need JavaScript and browser storage. Print and sharing options also depend on your browser and device. Core recipe text should remain readable if an optional feature is unavailable.

Third-party newsletter, merchant, and advertising pages are controlled by their providers. This starter site has not been independently certified as meeting a particular accessibility standard.

Tell us what is getting in the way

If you have difficulty using a page, contact [Add contact email in config.php] or use the Contact page. Include the page address, the feature you were using, and the browser or assistive technology involved if you are comfortable sharing it.

The publisher can use that information to investigate the issue and consider an accessible way to provide the content. Please do not include sensitive personal information in your report.
